Nick Clark, CEO of the Rule of Law Institute and Project Director of the Magna Carta Committee, oversaw the visit of the travelling Magna Carta Exhibition to Tenterfield. After leaving the High Court the exhibition has spent three weeks in Tenterfield, and arrived today at NSW Parliament.
Nick Clark said that “The exhibition was a success – we were thrilled to have the Tenterfield School of Arts host it in a room with such significance to the history of Australia’s system of government.” The exhibition was held in the same room where Henry Parkes gave his Tenterfield Oration in 1889, calling for the Federation of Australian colonies.
The Rule of Law Institute would like to thank Tenterfield Council for hosting the exhibition and are looking forward to its future visits to NSW Parliament and the Law Library of Victoria.
